Music with Mr. Kamida Students who are interested in learning how to play an orchestral instrument can sign up! (No prior musical knowledge required to participate). Orchestral instruments include: Strings: Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass Woodwinds: Flute, Clarinet, Alto Saxaphone, Obie, Bassoon. Brass: Trumpet, Trombone, Tuba, Baritone, French Horn, Electric Bass, Percussion (Snare and Bells) Please see the sign up packet that was given to your child during the first week of school. Class instruction is already in session. Your child may still participate even if the form is turned in late and an instrument is not yet purchased/rented. Note: There is no charge for participating in the Torrance Unified School District Instrumental Music Program; however, instruments, music and music accessories are not provided and will be needed. Instrumental music instruction is during school or before and after school, depending on location. If you need to rent an instrument, please contact Mr. Kamida. For information on how to sign up, please inquire with the school office or email Mr. Kamida at kamida.glen@tusd.org English Learner Multicultural Advisory Committee Next ELMAC Meeting: 01/17/20 9:30am ELMAC English Language Multicultural Advisory Committee (ELMAC) meetings are held with the parents of English Language Learners four times a year. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the school program and obtain ideas on how Lincoln Elementary can better focus on the student’s educational needs as an English Language Learner. All parents of English Learners are encouraged to attend the ELMAC and District meetings. For ease of communication, there are translators at all scheduled meetings. This is a good opportunity to discuss how Lincoln Elementary can help your child succeed.
